Amy's life is as diverse as her playing skills. She has had jobs ranging from convenince store clerk to navy seaman to music teacher and quite a few others in between.

Her playing skills are equally as diverse. A classically trained violinist, Amy spent time playing in classical groups and orchestras but her love of folk and celtic music has led her to pursue those aspects of her playing in popular celtic and folk bands like Gordian Knot.

Some have described her playing as the "heart of orange is in" and it is hard to argue. With a strong sense of melody clearly influenced by her classical roots and a bent for the bittersweet developed through years of folk and celtic music performance, her violin is a signature voice in the band.

Not surprisingly, Amy's singing voice lends an added texture to orange is in. Her soft, lilting timbre and education in classical vocal arrangement bring a unique dynamic and a striking contrast to George's rock growl.
