chris rogers -
guitar
Part punk rocker, part layered pop anarchist, Chris delivers
both energy and silky smooth texture to the band's material.
With one of the finest rock
guitar tones you'll find anywhere and a great ear for rock
and pop music, Chris was nominated for Best Guitarist in
the 1996 Public News Music Awards.
The son of a well-known musician, Chris grew up around music.
His father was a back up musician for Liza Minelli for many
years and was one of the original owners of the club that is
now Cardi's in Houston.
In the mid-90's, Chris developed a reputation as a respected
songwriter and guitarist in his bands Skillit and Blender,
winning the Songwriter of the Year award from the Public News.
Blending a powerful rock style with a keen understanding of
pop music, Chris' guitar playing, songwriting and production/engineering
skills are at the core of the band's sound.
Chris and Jeff served as co-producers on the band's debut,
Another Lame Semi-Tragedy, and the two form a production team
working with local musicians at Chris' commercial recording
facility, Rogers Recording. |
